I've got some belated blogging to do.
At the end of February, I was invited to NCSA's Chicago office, a sleek space in Lincoln Park. NCSA stands for the National Collegiate Scouting Association -- a company dedicated to recruiting high school athletes. (When I was in high school, I was a member of the cross country team for one day. The coach asked me to run a mile. I ran three laps instead of four and quit the next morning. Sports are hard.)
NCSA employs a lot of young people in their 20's and 30's, so it was a natural fit for my homebuyer seminar, "So You Want to Buy a Condo." My lender, Chris, brought in deli sandwiches, and I picked up a Starbucks card for a raffle. By lunchtime, the conference room was filled with people -- from accountants to recruiters.
We clicked through our presentation, saving time for questions at the end. It was an information-packed hour, and I'm incredibly grateful to NCSA for the opportunity to teach.
