This year, the holiday was low-key and delightful. Our family came over for Christmas Eve dinner, and then the next day, my brothers and parents and I lounged around. There was a drone, too, but that wound up stuck in a tree after a few minutes of flight. I wore pajamas from sunrise to sunset -- and it felt so good.
In true Chicago fashion, it did not snow until a few days after the 25th. We got an icy, freezing rain storm instead of a White Christmas. There's always next year.
